2. What MailSeer does

MailSeer helps users search and understand their email across providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook. It may also generate local insights such as meeting/event detection, subscription and trial reminders, and calendar-related views.

3. Data we access

If you choose to connect an email or calendar account, MailSeer may access data such as:

• Email metadata, including sender, recipients, subject lines, timestamps, labels, and message/thread identifiers
• Email content needed to support local search, ranking, summaries, and insights
• Attachment metadata such as filenames and attachment presence
• Calendar metadata and event details if you enable calendar import/sync features

4. How your data is processed

MailSeer is designed to process and store synced mailbox data locally on your device so the app can provide search and insight features. This local-first design is a core part of the product.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your mailbox data for advertising.

5. Cloud services and external providers

MailSeer may interact with third-party providers only as needed to authenticate your account and retrieve the data you explicitly choose to connect, such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.

Those third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

6. Local storage on your device

To function properly, MailSeer may store synced email data, indexes, embeddings, cache files, preferences, and related application data locally on your computer.

7. Search logs and diagnostics

MailSeer may keep local search history, recent queries, settings, and diagnostic information on your device to improve the user experience and app reliability.

If we introduce optional cloud diagnostics or analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal data. We do not share your mailbox content with advertisers.

We may disclose information only if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

9. Data retention and deletion

Because MailSeer stores working data locally on your device, you generally control retention by disconnecting accounts, clearing local application data, or uninstalling the software.

Depending on the feature and version, disconnecting an account may remove associated locally stored synced data.

10. Security

We take privacy and security seriously, but no software or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for securing access to your own computer and accounts.

11. Children’s privacy

MailSeer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly design the product for use by children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page.
